Jennifer Wagner is the Founder and Designer behind The VinHaus Boutique & Hat Bar and the creative mind behind its signature custom hat line, the maddhattery. A Texas native with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Design, Jennifer’s love for fashion began early — from styling window displays and managing retail stores to working as a Buyer and Merchandiser for national brands like The Limited, Guess, and Gadzooks.

After more than 15 years in biotech recruiting, Jennifer found herself navigating another corporate layoff — a moment that inspired her to return to her creative roots. What started as designing a cherry blossom embroidery applique denim jacket quickly captured attention and reignited her passion for design.

It all started with a love for vintage. I began by sourcing unique vintage accessories, and from that passion, The VinHaus was born.

Today, The VinHaus Boutique & Hat Bar is all about creating memorable moments through personal, hands-on design. From one-of-a-kind hat and jacket creations to handcrafted jewelry and hat accessories, we’re dedicated to offering pieces that are as unique as the people who wear them.

As a Texas-born fashion lover with a degree in Fashion and Retail Management and a background as a retail buyer, I launched this boutique with my partner in 2023. Together, we’ve built a brand rooted in creativity, craftsmanship, and connection — where every piece tells a story, and every customer feels like part of ours.

That spark became The VinHaus, a boutique brand blending boho-chic and western vintage style with handcrafted originality. Today, Jennifer designs one-of-a-kind hats, custom hat bands, and curated accessories that celebrate individuality and timeless craftsmanship. With her creative vision and dedication to personal connection, she’s turned The VinHaus into a destination for style, storytelling, and self-expression across Texas and beyond.

As Managing Partner of The VinHaus Boutique & Hat Bar, Jennifer Whitfield brings more than 30 years of experience in advertising, corporate sales, entrepreneurship, and brand leadership. A graduate of Texas State University with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Art, Jennifer built a thriving career in corporate technology sales while also launching successful ventures in real estate and beauty.

Though her business achievements were many, she felt a growing pull toward something more creative — a way to merge her artistic side with her passion for connecting people. During a trip to the Dallas Market, she designed her first custom hat and immediately knew she had found her next chapter. It was serendipitous that she met Jennifer Wagner shortly after — both shared a similar vision, and the two quickly teamed up to grow The VinHaus Boutique & Hat Bar, combining their creativity, business expertise, and shared passion for design.

Jennifer saw the opportunity to expand their mobile hat bar business beyond local markets — envisioning custom corporate experiences where clients and employees could design their own hats and receive unique, personalized gifts. Today, she helps lead The VinHaus as it continues to grow across Texas, from mobile hat bar activations and private events to boutique pop-ups and corporate gifting experiences. Her goal is to share the same joy and confidence she felt designing her first hat — helping others create pieces that reflect their story and style.
